Essart Studios is a contemporary art space

rooted in culture, emotion, and storytelling -

creating works that feel personal, timeless, and alive.

OUR STORY

Essart Studios emerged from a quiet and enduring engagement with art — not as a commercial pursuit, but as a deeply personal practice of reflection and expression.

For over two decades, art remained a constant passion for the artist, nurtured since childhood and sustained alongside professional responsibilities and everyday life. Through continuous experimentation with colour, texture, and form, what began as personal explorations gradually evolved into a distinct visual language shaped by memory, landscape, and lived experience. Over time, the canvas became a space where emotions could be layered, stories could unfold, and fragments of heritage could find contemporary form.

After years of sustained artistic engagement, Essart Studios was formally established as a curated collection of personal artworks and digital designs — bringing together decades of creative exploration within a single, thoughtful platform.

Each work reflects patience, time, and careful contemplation. Layers of texture are built slowly, allowing forms to evolve organically. The result is art that feels tactile, intuitive, and quietly narrative.

Rooted in Indian cultural sensibilities yet expressed through contemporary abstraction, Essart Studios bridges tradition and modernity with ease. The practice draws inspiration from everyday observations — textile weaves, floral arrangements, shifting light, starry skies, ancient sculptures, temple architecture, mandalas, rangolis, and enduring cultural motifs. These influences merge with modern abstraction to create compositions that carry both familiarity and depth.

Today, Essart Studios has grown into a diverse body of work encompassing original textured canvases, hand-embellished editions, and digital designs — each crafted with care, uniqueness, and authenticity. Every piece is created not merely to adorn a wall, but to inhabit a space, inviting pause, reflection, and connection.

At its core, Essart remains what it has always been: a sustained passion, thoughtfully curated — where stories become art, and art becomes memory.

THE ARTIST BEHIND ESSART

Sudha Ramen has been drawn to art since childhood, finding early joy in sketching, colours, and handmade creations long before it took a formal journey. What began as instinctive doodles and small experiments gradually grew into a lifelong companion — a quiet space she returned to time and again, regardless of where life or work took her.

As her professional journey unfolded in the sphere of public service, art remained a steady counterbalance — offering stillness, perspective, and moments of reflection. It became less about creating something perfect and more about responding to what was felt and observed.

Over the years, this personal engagement matured naturally, shaped by travel, landscapes, cultural memories, and everyday encounters that includes modern technologies. She continued to sketch, paint and design - art simply stayed — evolving quietly alongside her life.

For her, art has never been separate from life. It has simply been a way of seeing.

PHILOSOPHY & VALUES

Intentionality — every work begins with purpose, not impulse.

Craftsmanship — patience, layering, and material quality are central to the process.

Cultural continuity — traditional influences are interpreted through contemporary expression.

Authenticity — each piece is unique, thoughtful, and individually resolved.

Connection — art is created to engage spaces and people, not merely decorate them.
